Collect

Merciful God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as pass our understanding: pour into our hearts such love towards you that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer

Our People: We pray for those who have recently had operations, or are struggling from ill health of any kind in our congregation.
Our Community: We pray for the Manager of the Newlands Pub over the road as she undergoes treatment for cancer. We pray for her family and we pray a blessing on all those who enter, that they may come to know the Lord.
Our Country: We pray for those who have experienced severe flooding in Cornwall and Lancashire in the last week. We pray for protection over those people, community support and restoration.
Our World: In Mexico several Catholic Priests are murdered every year (3 last year) and over 500 are currently under threat from criminal gangs. Protestants often face harassment, violence and imprisonment. We pray for freedom and safety for them.
