Life Questions:
These questions are for you to consider individually and in Life Groups; take time going through these and allow questions to create conversation. Read the bible passages above.
1. Have you ever said ‘never Lord’?
2. When and why?
3. What does it mean to deny yourself?
4. How can we ‘take up our cross’?

Birthdays:
We celebrate with and ask God’s blessing upon Severina Cooper this week.

Collect:
Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray and to give more than either we desire or deserve: pour down upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Notices:
Please provide Hannah with any notices, people or situations to pray for, or events for the next notice sheet by Wednesday morning.

Prayer:
Our People: We pray for all of our church groups as they begin again after the summer break. We ask for God’s blessing upon all that we do and ask for growth and impact on the lives of those we serve.
Our Community: We pray for our local children as they prepare for starting school, either for the first time, or moving up a year group. We ask that they are receptive to learning and we ask for a culture of kindness, forgiveness and friendship amongst pupils.
Our Country: We pray for all those in hospital at the moment, that God would provide comfort and healing. We thank God for all of our NHS workers and ask God to be with them daily in their tasks.
Our World: We pray for people in the USA who have been affected by the major flooding and storms brought by Hurricane Harvey. We ask for the Lord’s comfort and strength for those who have lost loved ones, their homes and livelihoods.
