These questions are for you to consider individually and in Life Groups; take time going through these and allow questions to create conversation. Read the bible passages above.
1. What stops us looking at others with compassion?
2. What have we got to offer Jesus to bless others?
3. How much risk do we take in blessing others?
We pray for and celebrate with Autumn Wootton and Victoria Goult as they have their birthdays this week.
Almighty God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you: pour your love into our hearts and draw us to yourself, and so bring us at last to your heavenly city where we shall see you face to face; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
If you did not receive a letter last Sunday, please ask Hannah for yours and complete the enclosed slip and return to Hannah before you leave
If you have a Wii or X-box that you could lend out for the evening of the Light Party on 31st October, please let Jonathan Hill know
Please pick up an information slip about the Shoebox Appeal
Please note Hannah will be away 16th-23rd October, so any notices for the next two notice sheets must be provided by Wednesday 11th. Thank you
Our People: We pray for everyone taking part in the Paraclesis course, that it will allow us to grow in our ability to demonstrate our love to our neighbours.
Our Community: We pray for our upcoming outreach events; the student church search, the Light Party for the children and the Barn Dance. We pray for good attendance, fun, blessing and development of relationships.
Our Country: We pray for our country’s leadership; that they will be able to show humility and compassion, to make sensible and forward-thinking decisions and that God’s will be done in our land.
Our World: We pray for those affected by the tragic shooting in America; for the families of those who lost loved ones, for the emergency services as they deal with the aftermath and for those injured and recovering from the event.
