Sunday 18th February
These questions are for you to consider carefully and apply to your life. Read 1 Peter 3:18-22 & Mark 1:9-15 and think about the following:
1. (v11) What does it mean for Jesus to hear his Father’s affirmation?
2. (v12) Have you ever been led by the Spirit into a place of trial?
3. (v15) ‘The time has come.’ What season of faith are you in?
We are relaunching the Emergency Prayer Chain. If you have an URGENT prayer request for an emergency situation for yourself, family or Church Family please contact Anne Lancaster on 024 7647 1942 or email email@example.com. At the moment we have 30 people willing to pray. If you would like to be part of the chain please contact Anne.
We celebrate with and pray for Joan Knott and Daniel Cuttler as they have their birthdays this week.
Blessed are you, God of compassion and mercy, to you be praise and glory for ever. In the darkness of our sin, your light breaks forth like the dawn and your healing springs up for deliverance. As we rejoice in the gift of your saving help, sustain us with your bountiful Spirit and open our lips to sing your praise. Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
As the period of Lent begins, take time to think about the meaning of this time of either giving something up, or taking on something new. Prepare your heart to receive the ultimate gift given to us, as celebrated at Easter. Thank the Lord for his goodness and love for you!
