Life Questions
These questions are for you to consider carefully and apply to your life. Read Ephesians 4:25-5:2 and think about the following:
(v26) Do you have any anger or unforgiveness towards another? Search your heart daily and resolve those issues straight away. Text them a “sorry” or arrange to meet for coffee. Unforgiveness hurts us because it eats us up and cuts us off from the love of God. Don’t do that to yourself!
(v28) What do you do that is “useful”? What do you “share with those in need”? Can you put yourself forward for something new today? Perhaps using your skills on a church team; volunteering at the charity shop; fundraising for charity; knitting for Shawl Ministry; or praying for others.
(v29) Do you let any “unwholesome talk” come out of your mouth? Do you gossip/slander/back-bite or say negative things about others? If so, the real problem is with you! Speak and act only in love, build each other up and if you see a problem, talk to that person directly and offer support instead!

Notices
- Alpha Course starts THIS WEEK! Please take an invite from the foyer for your friend/family member. Speak to Hannah, Dwayne or Sandra for more info. Speak to Anne R if you could cook a meal for our Alpha guests.
- Please put your pennies in the pot for our Garden Fund, raising money for grounds maintenance. We’d like to be able to fill the pot by end of August!
- There will be a table-top sale after both morning services on Sunday 2nd September. Please donate items for this to the box under the table in the foyer; bric-a-brac/craft items/unwanted gifts etc. We are raising money for the Shawl Ministry, which will be headed up by Diana Bartlett.
- Drench Youth Café will return in September for school years 7-13. We would really like more helpers for that. Please speak to Anne R or Dwayne. Take an invite to give out to someone you know in that age group.
- Please visit our Community Care Charity Shop in Nickson Road. It raises money for local events/causes/needs and is there to be a place of welcome for those who need a listening ear. Please provide donations, buy items, volunteer for team or commit to praying regularly for this ministry.

Prayer
Lord, help us to be kind and compassionate towards one another. Give us the right words to say in difficult situations and help us to break the habits of gossiping, complaining and arguing. Guide us instead into forgiveness, kindness and loving actions that build others up, support them and show that we are children of a caring, loving God. Amen.
