New to Church?

00 Welcome Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church. We've put together an FAQ, so click the question to see more detail.

Some key information about the church...

When & where does the church meet and what happens?

We have the following services on a Sunday, and a meeting midweek on a Wednesday.
9.00am-10.00am Communion
This gathering is a simple service with one or two hymns played on the organ and is a great way to meet with the Lord at the beginning of the new week. Prayer ministry is available after this gathering.

10.45am-12.00pm Morning Gathering
This gathering is our more relaxed and contemporary gathering. We have Holy Communion once a month, children and youth work during term time, and series-based teaching throughout the year. We host a congregation of people in a variety of life stages (Life Streams).

During a typical service there will be approximately 30 mins of singing led by a band with opportunity for church members to pray, share a word or picture from God, or read a passage from the bible. After space for more intimate worship there will be a message from one of the leaders at the church with a chance to respond. We may also share Holy Communion together.
10.00-11.00am Mid-week Communion
This gathering is a great place to pause in the middle of a week and refocus. We celebrate the Lord's supper together with traditional prayers, readings and songs. We then share tea, coffee and cakes together afterwards.

We meet at:
St. James Fletchamstead
395 Tile Hill Lane
West Midlands

You can see a map on our contact us page

There is limited parking available on the site. We have three disabled spaces at the very front of the church. We have a small car park at the Hall behind the church (access from Westcotes) and there is street parking on Westcotes and Tile Hill Lane.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. We also provide food and drinks free of charge between 10.00am and 10.35am on Sunday mornings. Our Café Team will happily serve you. There is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions after both gatherings.

We have a disabled toilet with baby-changing facilities on the ground floor and further ladies toilets with baby-changing facilities on the first floor.

What is available for children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the children and youth at the Church for ages 0–15. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their programme. If it's your first time with us or you're heading to the Crèche, please head upstairs with your children and our leaders will give you more information. You will need to complete a Registration Form for your child if it is their first time in group.

For more information about our children and youth work, please see the Church Life section of our website.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?

Please feel free to contact us.
